On October 25 1415 a small English army stood to face their moment of destiny. They were hungry, tired and sick. The enemy outnumbered them five to one. England’s dreams of glory were about to die in the sapping mud of northern France.

What happened next seemed like a miracle. Led by their inspirational king Henry V, the English archers out-thought and out-fought the cream of French nobility. The slaughter was terrible. But the victory was destined to live forever in national legend.

Many writers - including Shakespeare - claimed they knew what stirring words Henry told his men before they stormed into the fight. The one that rings truest? A chronicle that claims he simply said: ‘Fellas, let’s go!’
